I couldn’t believe I turned 25 last Monday. It seemed like just
yesterday I was that ugly, skinny, awkward kid. Who would believe that
kid could go through such an amazing metamorphosis, and bloom into this
ugly, skinny, awkward lady?

My birthday this year was the most memorable and no doubt
unforgettable one, after the one when I was six and my over imaginative
brother, Dodi, who helped my aunt to carry my birthday cake from the
bakery to the car suddenly heard a cry of help thus swung the box over
his head an yell ‘Thunder! Thunder! Thunder cat!!!’ Because at that
time Thunder Cat was among children like Desparate Housewives among
adults these days and Dodi strongly believed that he was Lion-O. My
birthday cake that year was a lump of gooey colorful icing on cake that
had shattered so much there was not a stable piece for the candle to
stand at all.

My 25th birthday cake was equally special; it was…….

I started to develop this Diyanazman’s Word game( Roda Impian ) to
assist Diyana with one of her project papers a couple of years ago in
University Malaya.

My friend Hirud, the Flash master was not helping at all, so I
started to visit MPH almost everyday to read books about Flash and
surfed the internet for tutorials. During the game development
stage..the first thing I did was writing an Actionscript that can
rotate the circle just like a wheel. After that, I added flash movie
detection script…put in the puzzle…and..WALLAA !!…its completed!!!
It took me about 2 weeks to develop this game with zero knowledge in Flash until what you below is produced….

I remember many months ago Azman and I were strolling around the
shops at KLCC. I was looking for more tops and bottoms to buy and KLCC
is the best place to get those tiny tops and bottoms the way I like my
clothes to be.

Oh no! Please don’t get me wrong, I don’t wear skimpy clothes
because I want people to look at me. I do that because I like to have a
lot of challenge in my life.

When my in laws call to say that they are dropping by our place and
will arrive in a couple of hours; I can immediately practice my winning
the next Amazing Race Asia trophy! It doesn’t matter if they find out
that I run slower than Pak Dollah’s neuron movements, so they reject my
application to join the program. They will be sorry to know that I will
soon replace Eric Leong in hosting Casa Impian. No doubt I have all the
skills necessary……………

My husband’s cat Si Cemong, holds a very special place in his heart.
Often I find myself second compared to flourish amount of love and
attention Azman is showering the animal. He can spend a long time
explaining to me what beautiful black stripes Cemong has, and how
graceful it can be while making a mess out of the clothes I have folded
in my wardrobe.

Si Cemong is one greedy spoilt cat. I spent exactly 30 seconds to
walk from my seat to the kitchen, get the ketchup bottle and come back
to the dining table just to find my share of chicken for dinner has
disappeared.
My husband, who claims to love me till the end of time witnessed it
all. He saw how the nasty feline leaped from the floor and snatched my
precious fried drumstick, gobble the juicy tender flesh down its throat
and yet he did not move an inch of his muscles to stop it.
He did not shoo the cat away, he did not spare me my dinner. Instead he picked up the left over chicken bone……

Back in the 70’s & 80’s, every time the Malaysian soccer team
played at the Stadium Merdeka, the place would be jammed packed. On
those days Malaysia was one of the most respectable teams in Asia. Even
South Korea & Japan took their matches against our country very
seriously and it had been a routine for Malaysia to qualify to the
Olympics.

But as our stadiums got bigger and bigger… the number of Malaysian
soccer fans got smaller and smaller. Nowadays no Malaysian has actually
got faith in our own team anymore. Being humiliated by Philippines
& Laos had been a huge disaster for the country’s soccer scene. But
FAM seems not to care. All they seem to be thinking about is building
bigger stadiums..and all the blame will be placed on the coach…………
